Gruden resigned as head coach of the Raiders following reviews of homophobic, racist and misogynistic emails uncovered as a part of an NFL investigation into office misconduct on the Washington Soccer Group.
“EA Sports activities is dedicated to taking motion in sustaining a tradition of inclusion and fairness,” stated a press release relating to Madden NFL 22.
“Because of the circumstances of Jon Gruden’s resignation, we’re taking steps to take away him from Madden NFL 22. We’ll change him with a generic likeness through a title replace within the coming weeks.”
In the meantime, Raiders proprietor Mark Davis, who has stated little since Gruden’s resignation, instructed ESPN that he has “no remark” on the matter.
“Ask the NFL,” he added. “They’ve all of the solutions.”
CNN has reached out to the Raiders and the NFL for remark relating to Davis’ comment.
The NFL beforehand instructed CNN that through the course of the assessment of office misconduct on the Washington Soccer Group, the league was knowledgeable of the existence of emails that raised points past the scope of that investigation.
Reacting to Gruden’s resignation, Raiders quarterback Derek Carr instructed reporters on Wednesday that “I really like the person, I hate the sin.”
Carr added: “Nobody’s good, if we simply began opening up everybody’s personal emails and texts individuals would begin sweating a bit … perhaps that is what they need to do for all coaches and GMs and house owners any more. Acquired to open up the whole lot and see what occurs.
“You hate the motion. You hate it. You are not supposed to love it, however you’re keen on the individual and I really like the individual.”
“He simply stated he is bought loads to course of, there’s loads that is been happening in the previous couple of days and naturally we assist that request,” stated Mayock.
The Raiders, who’ve gone 3-2 thus far this season, face the Denver Broncos on Sunday. Wealthy Bisaccia has been appointed interim head coach of the Raiders forward of the sport.
